Nonogram Solver

Paste the clues exactly as you see them, solve the grid, and use the finished picture as your answer.

Enter your clues

Use one line per row or column. Separate blocks with spaces, such as 3 2. Use - for a completely empty line.

Enter clues, one row per line, then solve.

How the Nonogram solver works

  1. Copy each row clue into the left field.
  2. Copy each column clue into the right field.
  3. Run the solver to fill the matching cells in blue.

Each clue is evaluated against every position that can fit it, then the compatible positions are narrowed until a solution is found.

Nonogram and Picross

Nonogram, Picross, Griddlers, and Paint by Numbers use the same line-clue logic. This page is tuned for the Nonogram name, while our Picross solver provides the same tool with Picross-specific guidance.

Your clues stay in the browser. Nothing needs to be uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

How do I separate multiple clues?

Use a space between each block size. For example, type 3 2 for a block of three filled cells followed by a block of two.

Why is the result empty?

Check that each field has five lines for this starter grid and that all clue numbers are positive.
